That is all dependent on your Internet Service Provider and/or what internet site you are downloading from. Usually, if you are out in smaller places, that is about the only speed you'll really get. However, if you are with a place like Comcast or Verizon, then that is a little slower than normal.
Just depends on where you live and who your provider is.
In either case, there's not much you can do to increase your internet speeds.

depends on the connection u take from ur internet service provider urs is clearly highspeed lite and there is nothing really u can do to improve it but u can increase ur download speed by not downloading many files at once, not using IM services like videocalls for pc to pc at the time u r downloading and to not download stuff in rush hours when almost all of the population is on their pc lol!

Check with your ISP - chances are high it is not your PC but the connection itself which is slow.
I would suggest checking if you have shared bandwidth v/s dedicated bandwidth - In shared bandwidth the amount of speed you get would be reduced if other users are also downloading at the same time.

use the download accelerator or internet download manager to increase ur download speed, both can be found in www.download.com,i know this will not help u so much but will increase the speed alittle bit.
in future consider upgarding to higher bandwidth.

If your ISP is limiting you to that speed, there's not much you can do about it, unless you probably upgrade to the next level subscription that offers higher bandwidth.
