its a motrola surf board 1 and i need to connect it to a reutor which only supports ethernet cables so i got to change driver of where modem is cos it dnt work and dnt appear wen i plug jus ethernet and take out usb plz help?

Normally if you plug in a network cable it should just work. Ethernet has been around for years and is pretty much a standard.
If you need to just go to the motorolla website and download the driver files you need.

I think (not sure) this will work
Unplug the modem (basically turning it off)
Remove the USB wire
Attach the Ethernet cord
Wait for a minute
Turn the modem back on
Try it.
