I have an old, complete system capable of running windows 98SE (166mhz intel, CD drive, 64mb ram). Unfortunately it has a completely blank hard drive and I can't find a good linux (or other free os) distro for it. It will be doing broadband internet browsing, word processing, accessing a network (with other new Windows XP Pro computers). A GUI is necessary, as is a completely blank install and bootable disk. I am very capable around hardware and software once into windows GUI, not so much dos-type stuff. Thanks in advance for your answers :-)

My friend got a new computer, I *think* it's an Apple. To do the updates she opens the command line thingy, and types "?xxxxxx? upgrade". And it does all the updates, and stuff automatically - she just closes the window 15mins later when it's all completed.

Beats the cr*p outta sitting their clicking "install", "yes", "express", etc, etc... on Windows XP which is on my computer.

Is there a way to do this on Windows XP, ie...

* Via the command thingy, so I don't have to "watch" my computer when it does it's updates?

I am desperatly trying to find a program within my computer that will let me make greeting cards and other things with pictures. I came upon it while downloading pictures from my camera and now I cannot find it. I have a Dell with windows xp. I know that I have a lot to learn about this machine, but this is making me crazy. Does anyone know where it is? Does it only appear if the camera is hooked into the computer? I am at a total loss and feeling less than adaquate when it comes to this new subject I have taken on. I am determined to not let this machine beat me. Thanks everyone beforehand for any input you may have.

Now I know that it's fake but my question is, How do I get them to stop sending these e-mails to me!?!? I have asked them to take me off there mailing list but I still get stuff, what else can I do. I know I could just delete them but I would like to stop it for good. Any ideas?
