If you move it will change, if you turn off your modem it will change. Sometimes when you turn off your computer it will change. Most IP addresses from providers are "dynamic" meaning they change every time a new connection is made.

Internet Service Providers (ISP) purchase blocks of IP addresses that they generally dynamically assign. If you are staying in the same general area with the same ISP and the same cable or DSL modem, you have a chance of keeping the same IP address. What you really need is luck to stay on the same DHCP server to pull that off. Likely though you'll end up with a new IP address. If you have a static IP address with your provider (not very common), they could potentially keep the address for you. If you are worried about this for a website you run, update the DNS records to point everyone to your new IP.

In fact your IP will change from time to time even on the same ISP. Each time you restart your computer yor given an IP address and it maynot always be the same.
