How can I overlap music before burning to a CD?

I currently use i-tunes and have a Sony Vio, don't have Microsoft Vista yet but will soon, currently using XP

i dont understand what u mean ...but to edit music and combine tracks u would need an audio editing app like adobe audition or somthing ...

You will need an audio editor. Check out http://download.com for some simple free ones that will get you started.
