The next time you ask for help concerning a computer, pleas include what operating system you are using.

To save you some time, I am going to assume you are using a version of Windows XP.

The quickest way to solve your problem is to use the "Add Hardware Wizard". Click on Start, then Control Panel, then click on "Add Hardware".
You might want to also check your Device Manager. Right click on My Computer on your desktop, click on Properties, click on Hardware, click on "Device Manager", click on the name of your computer at the top of the device list, then click on Action, and then click on "Scan for Hardware Changes" and let the scanner run.
I also suggest you go into your "Help and Support" area (after you click on Start) and type in "Add new Hardware Wizard" in the Search box. It will give you several "Overviews, Articles and Tutorials" you might find VERY helpful.
Cheers!

If the devices it is not find are USB devices, you may have to uninstall and reinstall the USB ports on your PC.

Go into the Control Panel > System Icon > Hardware tab > Device Manager button. Scroll down and find the "USB" section in the hardward listing. Click the + in front to open the details. Right click on and Uninstall every device in the USB section. Also look for any devices elsewhere that have a yellow ! on them. Uninstall any such devices. They are things that did not correctly install and may keep anything else from installing.

Reboot the PC and it wil reinstall the USB ports and hopefuly it will start detecting things again.
