i read that CD burner has 2 lasers.. a write laser, a read laser and a eraser laser.
is this true? there is 3 lasers in a burner or just one.. with different heat settings for each?

These are 3 different lasers that share a single lens.... each laser is calibrated to a specific power to achieve the correct properties....read, write, erase...

Just 1 with special settings that allows it to do what it needs to (so far as I've known / seen).
