My computer went through a phase of restarting whenever I turned it on. Now when I turn it on all it says is "the following file is missing or corrupt...You can try to repair this using the initial startup CD-ROM and selecting 'repair' ".

I don't have a startup CD-ROM. Is there any way this can be fixed? If not, is there any way I can get some important files off it that I need?

My grandmother had an artificial heart valve installed (that doesn't sound like the right word) ten years ago. Lately, she has been having these crazy dreams that the valve is made of stainless steel and it's huge. Where can I find a picture of an artificial heart valve? What is it made of?

Why does my computer restart every time I try to turn it on, I mean just when the boot screen appears it starts to turn off and starts again.
(I deleted a file called "winlogon.dll" from directory: C:\WINDOWS\system32)

I have switched laptops 3 times in the last year and I have a lot of duplicate files. I also back up my bosses files onto my computer. We have a lot of the same files and I only want one copy.

Maybe I am just paranoid but I am very suspicious of the BT home hub and since I installed it there have been incidents which make me feel insecure about my privacy. I replaced it with my old router and I am getting a lot of problems with it. ( Bad connections, slow running,Websites and links not opening and an increase in the number of times I get not responding messages etc.) Am I being paranoid and is this just my PC playing up

I have a Four PC system network running in my office. 3 pc's hard hard wired, 1 in wireless. All but one connect freely to the internet. The only one not functioniing is a hard wired pc. Have westell 2100 dsl internet modem and linksys wireless router. Can anyone help?

I bought a pentium computer and it kept freezing when i started it. I got another one which is AMD Athlon but its doing the same thing. It starts and then about 5 mins later it will freeze. I turn it off and back on and it works fine. Sometimes whilst loading it will freeze again but if i turn it off and back on then it works fine. The software on the comp and everything connected work fine with no problems. The power supply works fine too. I have no idea what the problem is or how to determine it. Any help will do as its a problem i need fixing for my business. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I am with Home call and found I was on the old package, therefore paying extra every month, So I have decided to move to Talk Talk.

Is there service better now? Homecall telling me about them being on watch dog tring to put me off.

Any one with Talk Talk that can help?

I'm helping a friend to make a music video on WMM using clips from various dvds, but windows movie maker won't accept it and now I'm stuck.
I'd just like to take a few clips from dvd.
Any ideas on how I can do this??

I cant find my pound sign on my new computer! It says it on number 3 button But When i hold shift and press it comes out like this # I have tryed every button!! Can anyone tell me where it is. First person to tell me right answer will get the 10 points.

Thanks for your replies to my question re reducing the sizing on my screen resolution, I also asked microsoft help..nothing helped..my log on screen is also disproportionate..when i go to control panel, display, appearence there is no icon, on mine, as the computer I saw at work for increasing decreasing the screen that one can see as it is being done..also my slider for this purpose does not work..so where do I go from here..? help. I have XP on a older desk top..I went to bed one night woke up and it was like this..I don't go fooling around with the real tech stuff only what I can understand or guided to do..Help!!

I've just to delete 3 word docs CV and cover letters) from the folder they were saved in as I realised my boss has access to the folder. Have they disappeared completely as they are not in the recycle folder.
