use any music player built into your c:/ drive. if you buy a dell or a computer with windows, windows media player is usually built into the newer models. if you buy a mac, itunes is built in, but you can also download itunes for windows for free, too.

in wmp, just insert a cd of choice into your (D:) drive and click on rip on the tabs. click rip cd, and you upload those songs onto your hard drive while still keeping them on the cd.

in itunes, insert the cd and go under file -> import cd and click that. then itunes will add the songs selected to your library and you are free to put them on your ipod if you choose.

if you don't like either of these, real player, musicmatch jukebox, and other downloadable media players are available for a cost offline.

have fun- express yourself!!

When you use Real Player, it stores the music on your computer.

You need a CD ripping software.. although winamp can also do the same. however i find Audiograbber a cool tool for this. The free version is available at http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/download.html
