Depends in which country you live in and what language you have set your pc to......mine is in English Aust...yours could be English US...a lot of the same English words are spelt differently in different countries...........change it to yours....good luck with it.......(cancelled is our correct spelling for the word...canceled is USA spelling)...

i became taught that comfortable vowels take a doubled very final consonant to keep the softness. Cancelled with a single el could be reported can-sealed. further focussed with out the 2nd es is foc-used.

I think either one is fine...like traveled and travelled. The extra l, I think, is in British spelling.
