I am using window xp service pack 2, 256 RAM, celeron.

Go to

Control Panel -->Power Options -->System Standby

Select the "Never"Option and it would work

It sounds like your power management settings are set way too low.

Go to your control panel and check them. If it is not that then I would say you have a hardware problem, possibly the video card or chip.

You have the settings set to "standby"
Change it in your control pannel/ power options and you should be able to change it there.

idk but you could try contacting the place you bought it, it sounds faulty
