I have switched laptops 3 times in the last year and I have a lot of duplicate files. I also back up my bosses files onto my computer. We have a lot of the same files and I only want one copy.

Most likely you would have to; go to the folder which cotains the file(s), Right Click, SCROLL OVER (put your mouse on, without clicking) "Arrange icons by", click on what you want to arrange your icons by (in this case for easier finding "Name"); there you will see a list of your files in alphabetical order and if you have multiple copies, they will be listed underneath each other, simply highlight the ones you don't want by clicking and holding the left click button on your mouse at the very beginning of the file name or icon starting at the one(s) you don't want and move your mouse downward, upward or even across if necassary, highlighting the unwanted files. When the files are high lighted in blue(default color), Right Click, and delete! Repeat this as needed until your problem is resolved! EXTRA TIP: delete them from your Recycling Bin so that you don't waste memory and your computer doesn't start running slow.
