I want to know if there are any retail stores/websites that still sell the FULL version of winXp home. By full I mean the version that you could put on a computer with no OS. I am looking at an iMac and need to be able to get Windows on it, too, and since they only work with XP, I need to know if I can get it and where.

It says on the front of my modem DVD ROM & compact DISC Rewritable. I have installed the cyberlink power dvd 6 deluxe and the Yasa MOV to MPEG converter. I can convert my .MOV files to .MPEG and even get these files to go onto a cd. I am able to then play this cd in my dvd player on my pc and on the dvd player of my tv. But what I want to do is burn these files to a dvd. I believe I have everything to do this, even my pc manual says that I can create a video DVD. But it does not tell me how. Whenever I try, the dvd ejects and the screen reads please put in a writable disc, even though it is. Please help, soon!

hi guys, could you please tell me why does my laptop tries to run floppy drive and cd drive every few seconds even i dont touch or give any command related to these drives?
i have just reinstalled windows xp a few days ago as it was full of virus. but now it has started doing this now,
is there anything i can do to stop doing it automatically?
i will appreciate your help.

Ive been removing some apps from my computer but instead of my hard drive free space going up its going down and ive cleared loads of things but I have a lot of system restore points and I want to remove these as these take up some space I dont need to be taken.
How do I remove them?

I have a 56k modem but I am usually connected at 45k to 48k. When I download updates or programs, it will start out saying around 19kbps to 20kbps and then very quickly drop until it is about 3kbps. Why doesn't it download at 45k to 48k which is the speed I'm connected at? It is this slow even if I'm not doing anything else with the computer at the time of download.

I found a virus in my computer named TAGA LIPA ARE!. When I double clicke a local disk, the local disk won't open. The only possible way to open the local disk is by right clicking it then clicking the "open". When I right clickd the local disk there was an "autoplay" which maybe the cause ehy I can't open the local disk. After few days, things got worsen, some files had already viruses.

I received my Bachelor's degree in 1975 but the closest thing to a computer or computer training I had was a typing course I took using a non-electric Smith & Corona typewriter.
1.) I understand that these Flash Drives are useful in holding a relatively large amount of data. If I have a Flash Drive with w/1GB of Hard Drive, how does that equate to the old Floppy Disc's as far as capacity?
2.) Are they a good working tool when I don't have access to "MY" Desk Top or Lap Top? As a personal trainer, I would like to have a back-up copy of my client info and basic admin stuff. Would I risk leaving any information on the system I would plug into? I hope you understand the question.
3.) As both a Certified Personal Trainer and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), might you suspect that one drive each would be enough to maintain the contents of my basic client base?
4.) Would it be just as well to devout one of my laptops for the express purpose of each business? Thanks

Í would like to send a photo from my pc (without paying anything if possible) to somebody elses mobile phone. Is there a way that I can do it? I don't have a camera phone myself so i can't do it from my phone to another phone. Sorry, I'm just a bit of a techno biff!!! Thanks for your time.

How come whenever I ask a question I usually get 5 answers? I make sure I put them in the right category. Whenever I answer a question, there are like 20 that responded. Does your level, your amount of points, or other things have anything to do with it? And how can I get more answers? And how can I make sure mine get on the main yahoo answers page?

Anytime I try to play a game on my computer, where I have to upload something to somewhere else, it just freezes. I just tried an Upload bandwidth test and it said something on my computer was blocking the FTP protocol the program uses. i think that may be the problem, but I have no idea how to fix it other than turning off windows firewall and the trend macro pc-cillin firewall i have, but that didn't work. If anyone can provide any help I'd be very grateful.

Hi,

Recently I've been having problems completing my downloads. It doesn't matter whether it's from sendspace, rapidshare or bandago, it seems that whenever I dl, especially files that are huge and takes hours to finish, most of the time, they just do not complete. Instead, halfway through, it will suddenly say 'download complete', leaving me with an incomplete file! I've no idea why this happens! My other friends can have their dls running for hours without any problems... I've even turned off my screensaver, cleared my cache, and cleaned up my drive. It doesn't seem to work!

OS---> Windows XP
ISP---> Streamyx

My emails that i receive have no data on them. it is only on my work computer though. i can receive them at home and other computers in the building, but when i try to open the same email that had data on the other computers, there is nothing on my work computer. does anyone know if i would have hit a button or something so that i can't read my emails on this computer?

It is under the clone of a ".jpg" image but here's the catch: I can't rename it, view it's properties and most importantly, I CAN'T RIGHT CLICK/DELETE IT in any way! I've tried everything so I'm wondering if there is a mode i can put my computer in that I have the ability to delete it

(It's a Compaq laptop with Windows XP if that helps)
