hi guys, could you please tell me why does my laptop tries to run floppy drive and cd drive every few seconds even i dont touch or give any command related to these drives?
i have just reinstalled windows xp a few days ago as it was full of virus. but now it has started doing this now,
is there anything i can do to stop doing it automatically?
i will appreciate your help.

Really strange one ?? I think you may not have installed correctly or you have another Virus, try running AVG on full scan first.

i think a trojan is in your pc...
back-up everything..(all your important files)
re install your preferred OS..
create a restore point...
secure an anti virus and anti spyware...(make sure these are always updated)
its better to create a separate drive for your important files and a main drive (for your Operating System/windows)
then avoid restricted sites..these sites contains too many viruses and spywares to mention..
Make sure that after every surf in the internet and every download of stuffs...always run your antivirus and anti-spyware before you properly shut down your computer...almost all sites, restricted or not contains these pests..just regularly run these helpful programs to keep your PC clean...
