I have windows XP on my laptop and my boss has a countdown at the bottom of his desktop, and I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to get one on my desktop.

How do I fix this? When I bring up the guide, it says things are on now when they're actually on in an hour. I tried going to settings and everything, and the guide is set to my zip code.

I've tried it on itunes and windows media..I know the disks are fine, I've tried like 15 that I know are blank and there were like 3 different kinds.. Its worked before but just doesnt now.

Everytime I try to burn some music onto a CD it will only burn 6 songs. What's up with that?

It only recently started doing this....my computer is only a year old!

Ok, my uncle insists that there are some sort of CDs that can hold 120 songs and more! He says that they are called "MP3" but as my knowledge there are no such CDs.

I am doing an online resume for a potential employer. In the directions on their site it says that when you paste your resume in the box, "bullets or bold font will not paste correctly". I understand what bold font is, but am not sure what 'bullets' are. Would be great if I could get only SERIOUS answers from people out there. Thanks for the help.

Lots of icons in the notification area, I want to disable them so they wont appear anymore. I have chosen the "hide when inactive" in the behavior option list. They appear so that means they are still active. How do I deactivate them so they would no longer start or run automatically every time I log in to windows?

I have a brand new HP a1610n that has LightScribe. I'm trying to save pictures, audio and personal files to disc. The guy at the store said I can use DVD+R discs (with LightScribe) to back up anything (pix, personal files etc.) When I try to transfer anything to the disc, Windows says "Windows has encountered a problem when trying to copy this folder. What do you want Windows to do? " What am I doing wrong/What's the problem? HELP!

When move my cursor over the taskbar icons (by the clock) it will popup the date & time, but then move over other things and will only show the top tip of what the icon is for..did this before but have forgotten how to fix it....??

I did a routine scan on my computer and the anti-virus picked up a possible_lineage. I tried cleaning it, but no help. It also will not allow the file to be deleted.
Here's where the file is.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSInfo\nexondll.DLL

Hi, i have a pretty old 5-6 year old cpu that i added/upgraded new parts every year. The exact specs for the pc i am running now are

Compaq 800 Mhz Amd Duron
768 SDRAM(memory)
Nvidia Geforce MX 4000 (128mb)
40.0 GB hardrive
Windows Xp Home Edition
And that's pretty much it

Basically, i use the cpu to play games( but with the pc i got) i can only play games like warcraft 3 frozen throne/ yahoo pool, andmaybe something low-end. I wud love to play games like battlefield 2, needfor speed most wanted in the near future.

So i was wondering... I have 3 choices, i can either buy one of these cpu's that come pre-installed with vista

You know what I mean... you get a glitch, you sort it, and then a window comes up and says "DO YOU WANT TO REPORT THE ERROR".
Yes, I say and duly report it.
But never hear anything back.
