It really does not go anywhere. All the error codes are stored on your computer, the answer that you get if you click on send report, will already be programed, with certain code words. When I send a report, a window will come up, with some suggestions on it. Most of the time, they are helpful if you click send report. A link has been pre-programed, for each error. I have seen the page where all the reports are, on your computer. You can delete them at any time..

It supposedly sends it to Microsoft so they can study/work on the problem and see how many people are having that problem. That's why it's kinda a good idea to send those reports in. On the other hand, some don't like the fact that it's sending their info to who knows who or that the info can get intercepted and used maliciously against them. You can actually see the report it sends by clicking the button "view report" in the first window. Although unless you have a program that can decipher it, the info won't make much sense. So either don't keep sensitive info on your computer or trust Microsoft. In real life, you're not likely to do either.

I'm not positive, but I believe it goes to Microsoft and they keep track of which ones are common. Like, if they keep getting the same error report about the same program, it helps them prioritize what issues need to be taken care of.

It's supposed to be sent to Microsoft to "improve" it's current OS. I usually click "Deny" because there really isn't anything Microsoft can do at the moment to help me. Their OS's will always be buggy.
