I am doing an online resume for a potential employer. In the directions on their site it says that when you paste your resume in the box, "bullets or bold font will not paste correctly". I understand what bold font is, but am not sure what 'bullets' are. Would be great if I could get only SERIOUS answers from people out there. Thanks for the help.

Those are the little dots or symbols in the lead of sentences that are in lists. Like this...
* I am a great talker.
* I can type 20 words a minute.
* I have great people skills.
* I am well organized.
The asterisk would be the bullet, but the are usually a bold dot centered more in the middle of the start of the sentence. I guess that's why they even have a name cause you can't just type one from the keyboard, unless you use a dash (-)! In Word they have all kinds of neat pics/symbols you can choose to use as bullets! Also in the character map you can find all sorts of bullets. Good luck with the job hunting!

A bullet is a big dot in front of an item in a list. The program may also complain about anyother shape that was in the front of a list as well....

bullets are what the dots, numbers, symbols - basically anything you use to mark a list with. A bullet would be the symbol in front of each item on the list.

Yup, it's just the preceding mark. So you could have this, and the "-" would be the "bullet"

-Cats
-Fish
