I have a brand new HP a1610n that has LightScribe. I'm trying to save pictures, audio and personal files to disc. The guy at the store said I can use DVD+R discs (with LightScribe) to back up anything (pix, personal files etc.) When I try to transfer anything to the disc, Windows says "Windows has encountered a problem when trying to copy this folder. What do you want Windows to do? " What am I doing wrong/What's the problem? HELP!

first make sure you have a dvd writtable drive(dvd rom)use the software that came on the computer for the DVD rom,and there shouldnt be a problem,,if you have a new computer,,,and a dvd rewrittable drive,,,then the software should already be installed on the computer,,,you shouldnt need any additional software,,,also make sure that the files you are trying to copy arent encrypted.

LightScribe is a laser Labeler built into the DvD Burner if you will. So there is no need to waste extra money on a lighscribe DVD+R's . YOu can do the same to a normal DVD+R just use any burning progams. Nero, Roxio, etc...
