I try to install a program and it needs 128MB to do so but my PC says i have only got 64MB but i have had the program working befor with no problems. HELP! ples

My computer shuts down on its own. First my computer will start beeping then the whole computer shuts off on its own. I am running Windows XP home edition.

It occurs more rapidly when I am playing a game like World of WarCraft. Any help in solving what the problem is and what I can do to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

everytime i try loading my computer it will not go past the black windows screen where it shows the loading bar..even tried safe mode but wont take me anywhere and no wallpaper...anyone out there know what i can do or what the problem mite be...any advise will help...tyvm

I graduated from an overseas university some years back with a degree of Computer Science.

When I came back to my home country, the job market was bad for graduates in Computer Science. I was actually unemployed for a while as I could not secure jobs relating to IT. For me, I was adamant to establish myself in IT. I intended to get a job in IT so that I could be more proficient in IT. I was hoping to establish myself as an administrator or a programmer or an engineer.

However, as I could not even get an IT job relating to my degree, I was even willing to start low, as a technician in an IT field. I could do that as I know how to do some troubleshooting of spoilt computers and the operating systems. I even know how to assemble a computer.

How do you figure out which type of sound card you have? Is there some kind of on line diagnostic test?
I upgraded windows, and there was no more sound after this, no icon in the bottom right corner of the screen, nothing like that, so i'm off to figure out how to get the sound back on the system. Currently trying to figure out which driver I would need to download to do this.
The sound card isnt coming up in device Manager, the computer is not one that came all together from a best buy store or dell or compaq or anything like that so calling some place is out of the question.

i`ve never had problems with my computer mouse but right now it`s not working properly! it can`t left click; only right click. i`m getting tired of navigating everything through the keyboard.. i tried unplugging & replugging & i`ve also tried restarting the computer.. my aunt did something through my computer.. maybe she messed something up?? HELP PLEASE!

Okay yea well I was working on my computer one day and I was deleting old files, and I went to answer the door and heres the thing my little cuz touched it and managed to delete some file that let me hear my speakers.....I know its not the speakers they're fine and the volume up but nothing, everything is conected but nothing what should I do, and or what file do i need????????

I have version 8.1, to play some new games i have, i need version 9.0. I would use microsoft's site, however... I have a pirated version of windows. I need another site that has a free directx download, or need to know if since my windows isn't genuine if when i download from microsoft, if they will fry my computer or screw me over somehow... I do not want ANY remnants left at all.

Also, I am running windows xp professional on an OLD compaq laptop and would like to install windows 98 but don't have a disk. What do I do?

The only thing I would like to keep is my Quicken program and files and my at&t yahoo internet access programs and browser. I plan on saving those to a jump drive and them reinstalling them...give me better ideas if you have them.

While playing a online game called warcraft3 my computer froze for about 30 seconds, when my computer unfroze i my computer was running a lot slower then what it normally does. My computer now takes around 10 times longer and all my programs now run a lot slower. Also while i am playing a computer game(which is running a lot slower then normal) my computer will start running extremely slow for around 5 seconds then go back to normal. I have the latest DirectX, latest drivers,Windows XP home, intel pentium 4 3.00GHz, 1GB RAM, RADEON 9250 graphics card and my hardware acceleration is set to max. I also have a good internet connection so my computer running slow will not be caused by that. I have REMOVED all SPYWARE and VIRUSES from my computer and i am still having this problem. I have also done a registry scan.

I have no idea what would cause this problem. If you need any more information about my problem or computer specs please ask. I really need with problem fixed ASAP

I don't want to have to to click "print preview" and increase the size every time an email does this. The same thing happens to me when I am on WEBMD and if I increase the print preview to 100% on WEBMD, the article totally disappears on me. Then I have to put it back to a lower size percentage on "Print Preview" screen so it comes back to my screen, and then I print it. HELP!!!
So basically, I click print and it prints our very very small. It did not do that in the past!! What can I do to just make it print out normal every time. Example, today one email printed out very small but its attachment printed out in normal size

so i downloaded the 2007 noadware for free and it scanned my comp and found a bunch of things and one trojan.fakealert which is probly freezing my background properties, but it wont delete anything unless i buy the software for $37 and i cant do that right now. and also, when i searched my comp for that fakealert thing, i couldnt find it...does anyone know how i can find all these things and delete them without paying $37?? or does it just make stuff up so that i'll buy the software?

Our department (mainly geographic technologies) has a software developer that is retiring after about 39 years with the company. Any ideas on a good gift idea? This wouldn't be from the company but rather directly from his coworkers. Please try to keep the ideas in a range less than $250. Thanks.

When I recieve mail, I can't see the tabs and logos, when I open to see either my or other people's account, I can't see the computer graphics, except that it looks like it's in the HTML format. Am I missing software? How can I fix it?
