When I recieve mail, I can't see the tabs and logos, when I open to see either my or other people's account, I can't see the computer graphics, except that it looks like it's in the HTML format. Am I missing software? How can I fix it?

I currently have Windows XP, it was working normally untill a few days ago, I wonder if I or somebody else has accidently deleted a software.

And instead of a tab, it's replaced with a blank space with a logo of a white square consisting of a red square, green circle,& blue triangle.

You should check:
If you have MS outlook express
Right Click on Tools
Right Click on Options
You will two rows of Tabs such as Spell check/Security etc
then in second row something like Read or way of reading I got Japanese version therefore can not tell exact words but
under this Read you wil find four check boxes look at the fourth one that is: Read all messages in text style, if it is checked un check it.(Better write all steps on memo if you want to come back again)

Now click on the top tab Security you will see Image download. If the box is checked un check it( make a memo if you want to come back again)

Now click Ok and close Outlook. Again click on outlook Icon and see it is working or not.

I hope this will help

I will assume you are using Outlook Express. Click on Tools and then Options. Click on the security tab. Check the Internet zone, uncheck Do not allow attachments.... and uncheck block images and other....
Once you do this, you will have to use safer e-mail practices, like not opening attachments unless you are expecting to receive attachments and deleting e-mails that you do not know the origin of. I hope this helps.

See if there is a bar at the top of the message saying click here to show pictures, kept back for security.
