I have version 8.1, to play some new games i have, i need version 9.0. I would use microsoft's site, however... I have a pirated version of windows. I need another site that has a free directx download, or need to know if since my windows isn't genuine if when i download from microsoft, if they will fry my computer or screw me over somehow... PLEASE URGENT HELP NEEDED!

If they detect your windows is not genuine they will not allow you to update or download from microsoft.

microsoft won't allow u to download any thing from their web site unless u have a genuine copy of windws.
i will give u a link to download directx 9.0 from it,the link is free and have tons of software......http://softex.meganet.lt/news_cats.php?cat_id=20.

no microsoft won't do any of that to you or your system. here is the directx link. if it doesn't work, then call microsoft and give them the lame story that you had to repair and change your motherboard and now you can't register it... hey i just sent you an email for a work around that is the legal way.....

If you buy a game, it usually comes with the latest version of Direct X and installs it with the game.

you need to use a torrent. try Bittorrent. Or get a legal copy.
Us who have a legal copy have a bit of problem with you guys trying to get away with it it. Bittornado. try that also. good luck. i think

Have you tried CNET, they usually have many downloads....you might have to pay for it.
