Hi, i have a pretty old 5-6 year old cpu that i added/upgraded new parts every year. The exact specs for the pc i am running now are

Compaq 800 Mhz Amd Duron
768 SDRAM(memory)
Nvidia Geforce MX 4000 (128mb)
40.0 GB hardrive
Windows Xp Home Edition
And that's pretty much it

Basically, i use the cpu to play games( but with the pc i got) i can only play games like warcraft 3 frozen throne/ yahoo pool, andmaybe something low-end. I wud love to play games like battlefield 2, needfor speed most wanted in the near future.

So i was wondering... I have 3 choices, i can either buy one of these cpu's that come pre-installed with vista

there is leading edge technology and there is bleeding edge technology.

Leading edge would say option 3, get a Windows XP SP2 machine that is Vista Ready and when the time is right (Vista SP1) then do an upgrade to Vista. the drawback is that when you upgrade you may have to re-install your programs/applications.

Bleeding Edge would say. Get the Olption 2 machine with wondows Vista and whenever SP 1 comes out install it and carry on.

Personally I would do option 2.

The very end XP product (sp2) is possibly only as stable as Vista uncomplicated. Its extra effective than sufficient on your computing device use. i'm actual extra effective than chuffed with XP, and in no rush to place stupid money on an improve, basically for the sake of there being one available. stupid how there are 3 types, uncomplicated, abode and top rate. they might desire to have only caught with the latter 2. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that in case you will purchase new, i might advise a computing device with a minimum of 512mb-1g of ram, and a minimum of 80gb+ of hdd storage. it is going to possibly comprise Vista besides. So the two way, you ought to be chuffed. As for Vista itself concepts you, there have been issues of enhancements to it, extremely than it being the pre put in working equipment. And there has been suggestion to attend a minimum of three years in the previous it is extra into line with application clashing matters.
