I have a computer that has 504 MB of RAM. My hubby plays online games that required 512 MB of RAM. So far, it worked fine untill he installed the expansion pack that required 518 MB RAM and now the game gets "stuck" and there are high latency times between our computer and the game server. Do we need to have more RAM installed? And if so, do I HAVE to go with the company (Dell) that we ordered the computer from or can I take it to a smaller computer service company? Thanks so much...

I am able to delete some of the contacts but then others as I select them do not give me the option to delete, I group them inteding to then delete the group but still it does not allow me to do so. Can anyone help? Tks

I recently caught a bad virus and couldn't remove it. I ended up giving away my computer because it wasn't worth the hassle. Should I change my I.P. address, and how do I do it? If it doesn't work, will I have problems getting back online?

Not sure what they're called, but some websites have random pictures that contain letters/text that need to be entered into a box in order to validate a form entry. Can anyone explain how this "key signature" works and how an amateur like me can integrate a similar system on my website? Are there any scripts/software that I could use?

nero was included with a dvd burner i brought, all was fine and now it says a dvd+video plug in has expired and i need to upgrade. now i can no longer burn films etc. i have removed it from computer and downloaded it from demonoid and i am still unable to burn films- any sensible help or suggestions would be greatfully received.

Hi,

I currently have a P4 2.4ghz, 512mb ram, 100mps connection server.

I have 20 sites and 3000 visitors per day across the sites with an above average session length and high number of page views.

My sites seem slow at times to access and i am wondering why.

Would improving my server hardware help much? I am under the impression that at my current traffic levels a basic box will be fine. (I used www.datagate.co.uk, based in west london)

I am wondering if having my domains in the same place may increase speed? I currently have some with 123-reg.co.uk and others are with an american registrar.

Does anybody know if upgrading the hardware is worthwhile at my current traffic levels?

Ever since I can remember, when I right click a link in Internet Explorer (Maxthon) I could go to "save target as" on the small menu that dropped down. Now all of a sudden that option is greyed out and I can't use it. I did a system restore but that didn't solve it. Is there a setting somewhere that I might have inadvertently changed? Is there a way to get this option back? Please help! Thanks!

what happened to my flash pen?
i got virus in it but i already cleaned it up ...
now i can't see my files anymore. i checked the properties...the usage of memory looks reasonable but i can't see my files.
its impossible that they are not there since the memory looks like my files are still there.

I can't open an MPEG file in either; Media Player, I get a "problem with your sound card" error, even though I have downloaded the latest driver for my 5.1 system. Nor can I open it in the Movie Maker, I just get a "codec not installed" error. What Bl***y codec?
I have run a directx diagnostic, (just in case), and it is all fine. So now I'm at a complete loss, and any help would be really appreciated.

Once you deleted emails from your email account and emptied the trash completely, do these deleted emails become an archive in somewhere else in the internet full of junk mails? I'm scared because some spies might keep track of our deleted emails especially our personal information. Is it guaranteed that once you delete an email, it is completely gone and poof from the cyberworld?

i have a windows XP computer that was just somewhat a "hand-me-down" to use from abroad. it works great! the only problem is that there were no sounds! when i go to the Volume Control a message will show up saying that there were no sound device detected or something? we have the speakers connected to the right place... my cuzin told me that we need a CD 4 that.. which we dont have! he also said that u can download the sounds from the internet... the problem he doesnt know where 2 look!

So i wanna know if what he's saying is true and where can i find this site! Plz Help! anyone who can tell me where i can download the sounds will surely get the best answer! Tnx!

i want to change the appearance of the icons on my desktop. for example, i want to use an image in replacement of the "folder" icon. or is there a program/software which allows me to convert JPG/JPEG into DLL formats? so i will ot need to read the caption of the icons, just look for the image/icon.

I press analyse and it says to defrag. I defrag and it says defrag complete. I press analyse again and it says it 'you need to defragment this drive'. This could go on forever. Any ideas anyone?
