please list as many browsers as u can ask internet explorer 7 does not work and Mozilla firefox doesnt support windows media player for videos!

Ive seen a good deal for a Apple mac powermac computer system, from somebody in Kanata in Canada for the price of $900 the deal looks really good, but somehow too good to be true, but at the same time I dont want to pass up this good deal, im based in London england also and the seller has said the system can be with me in 3 days is that even poss?
I dont know what signs to look out for and is there a way I can pay the person but cancel the payment if the item doesnt turn out as expected?

any info would be obliged, i know i sound absent minded but im not clued up on these things as it not everyday I do them

I want to set up a external timer to turn on a computer, run a program for a predetermined time, log off and shut down. This is similar to setting a VCR to record a show then turn off at the conclusion.

I do not want to leave the computer on all the time.

I want an external timer to turn on the computer and have the computer do the rest unattended.

I know how to do the timer and auto start the computer but I need to get around the unattended program execution function

Why is my computer so slow when I start up:-
a) take 10 minutes from start up to reach my home page
b) often freezes when I search
c) have to end up switching it off at the wall

I have done defragment, any suggestions please.

Its taken me over 30 minutes to be able to ask this question.
My system is new, I brought it in December, at first it was great, now I am just loosing my rag.

I have a game that I downloaded (Legally, obviously. As in free.) Unfortunately it's a pretty big file and I really don't want to re-download it to get the uninstall file back. Is there any way and/or program that will allow me to delete whatever is left of the program from the registry? I deleted the folder and learned the hard way that you should always use add/remove programs. I just want it off of the add/remove list, because it is bugging me. I get the "The file doesn't exist or is not a valid uninstallation log file" message whenever I attempt to remove it via the control panel. Thanks in advance.

Used to be about £5 a year... now £20... sorry, but its outpriced me... and no discount if you belong to Friends Reunited too... Has anyone else been priced out of everyday web things like these which amuse briefly, get used maybe once a month at most,... and then get stung for the massive cost increase?

I know how to change some of the icons but on my desktop I cant change the Internet explorer icon or the My Bluetooth Places Icon. When I right click there isnt the option for properties for the bluetooth and the IE icon just opens up the internet settings. Is there any way I can change these?? Also in My Computer is it possible to change the C and D drive icons??? And finally I have an external Harddrive and the first day I used it it had the icon but now it shows that pic/icon that comes up when the icon cant be found - is there a way to get it back or to change that??

May I know how are assignments set in your university?

For example, in Computer Networks, how did your lecturers set those assigments for you?

Likewise, in Expert Systems, how was the assignment set? Was there programming involved in the Expert System? Was there ONLY programming in the assignment or is there some other things? Was the programming required very complex?

What was it that you need to do in Graphical Animation? Do you need to do complicated programming also? Do you also need to do research?

Was a reading list given to you for all the subjects you need to take? Do you need to pass the assignments first before you can pass the subject? How long do you take to do each assignment?
