I live on the bank of a creek in mumbai. My computer stops working suddenly and the engineer always say it's not you but everyone living on the bay gets affected by this weather. There is more moiester in air and specially in monsoon it is worst. My PC get sick minimum 4 times and I've tried with different engineers and by changing PC also nothing had worked so far. I've spend more money on repairing than actual PC. My work is such that I can't live without PC too. Can anyone help? Is anybody from computer field have answer to my problem?

Okay. i know i just did this but im tryin to get more than one answer that will at least help me a lil bit.. i dont know anything about burning cds or any of that and im just tryin to save a powerpoint presentation on a blank CD but i have no clue how to do that. i mean i dont even know which cd drive to put the blank cd in i really need help..

I have installed windows Xp on first computer and win98 on second computer. I have installed the nic card on both the pcs and assign the ip address to both pc. I also havce checked the ping command , its working and make both computer part of MSHOME workgroup ... on win98 when I explore network ..its show the First(XP) computer , But when I try to open it for file sharing it demand password of IPC$.. When I try to map a network drive from win98 same happen. All the hardware is ok. and both pc can ping each other... how can solve this problem

Has any one seen the new mac commercials. One shows vista getting upgraded ram, proccesor, and graphics card. I agree with mac that that is annoying. The second one i've seen shows a bodygard protecting vista always asking to allow this or that. From what I've heard after the first week or so this feature pops up barly and its not extremly annoying when it does. not any more than your average firewall.

I think mac is paniking because microsoft has finnally nade an OS equal to a mac.

What are your guys opions?

When i try and copy text it lets me. Then when i paste it, it just says "a". Example-

ksdhfsjdgfsjdfh (text i want to copy and paste)

a (result from when i DO paste)

when i paste its that simple. Its as if i copied the letter a and pasted it, but its stuck thinking that even when i try and paste other things. I cant copy or paste ANYTHING..it replaces it with "a" cut and paste doesnt work either. What is causing this and how can i fix it?

My computer is Windows XP. I want to record music from my radio onto my PC via the "Line In" port. I of course have checked for the proper wiring. I want to say that I am lacking some type of software but I am not sure. I have tried the embedded sound recorder in Win XP but no luck. Thanks for the help.

I just started a home business and want to snail mail an announcment letter. How do I create a list of names and addys in abc order to print as labels and be able also to add more later and they will go in to the correct abc order ? I have Microsoft Word Works. My media computer is hooked up to a TV, and it's also hooked up to my local network. I can Remote Desktop to my media computer (from my laptop), but when I do that, it cuts off the signal going to my TV. Is there a way to use Remote Deskop to control my media computer, and have the output also going to a VGA device ( in this case my TV )?

I have tried every trick I know of to try to get my computer to write a simple powerpoint presentation onto a CD-R I recently bought. For some reason, when I try to write the files to the CD-R it gives me an error message and says it can't write. What, if anything, can I do?
