java crazy?

I love to play online games ,so i use java . my problem is that it don't alway works.. many time i have to unstall it just to install again to play games .lately i try to download java and it want download.WHAT AM I DOING WRONG

Uninstall it again then go to http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_ie.jsp to download and install a new Virtual Machine.

try deleteing it from add/remove programs and going to www.java.com and downloading a fresh copy
