Most web cam now is plug and play, meaning once you install the driver all you need to do plug it in and it should be detected right away. You can then start using it in any chat room or anywhere.

1. Connect ur webcam to one of the USB ports which is on the back side or int the front panel of ur CPU.
2. Then there is a installation CD which is given to u.
3. Put in ur CD ROM drive & install the software.
4.Then on ur desktop u 'll see the web cam icon.
5. Double click the icon, the u can see the various features of it.U can select which ever u need.

If it is usb and you have windows xp plug it in the usb port windows will recognise it but wont know where the drivers are. Point the wizard to the web to try and search microsoft for the drivers. thats it

follow the documentation that cam with the webcam. if it doesnt have any, go to its website and check for one. if there isnt one anywhere, consider returning the webcam, as maybe it was stolen or somebody tampered it or its fake.
