well theres read the manual, but usually rule of thumb is with computer off hook up,install device, then start computer windows will "find it" if it has driver it will install it automatically, if not you need driver, whether device came with one or go to manufacturer's site and download and install per their instructions, i usually do that anyway to see if they have new drivers and or new info
