I live on the bank of a creek in mumbai. My computer stops working suddenly and the engineer always say it's not you but everyone living on the bay gets affected by this weather. There is more moiester in air and specially in monsoon it is worst. My PC get sick minimum 4 times and I've tried with different engineers and by changing PC also nothing had worked so far. I've spend more money on repairing than actual PC. My work is such that I can't live without PC too. Can anyone help? Is anybody from computer field have answer to my problem?

Yes sea side weather effects the computer very much, however there is no permanant remedy for that instead of changing your workplace little far from sea side. most of the electric items get effected with sea weather & needs service quite often.

Buy a laptop and work in dry places. Damp surrondings do affect the machine but only in a mild way. Maybe moisture affects the speed of the computer.

what aload of rubbish, you computer only gets affcted by 2 types of weather. hot, and it needs to be about 60 degrees to do anything and lightning, if you in a lightning storm jsut unplug your pc, other than that its not the problem. jsut means the engeneres are not good enough to figger out whats wrong with it.

oh and unplug telephone cables too and anything else that is connected to an external socket.

well damp and salt could be a factor. all that white stuff on your bricks is from salt damp. try keeping the computer in a plastic case or use it in a room in the middle of the house.
