it's making odd noises and i have hi speed broadband and it runs slow and freezes at times

it is internal noises and it had problems like this with the dial up....we uninstalled all that went with the dial up before going with the hispeed and i haven't down loaded anything on a cd

Of course it can have problems, may be a bad part inside. What kind of noises? If it is internal noises or even a load noise when you load up a CD, the disk drive/HD may be bad. Call the computer company up and get tech support.
Your hi-speed internet may be a different story, the way you are connected and your connecting may have that effect. It may have nothing to do with your computer. I would call up your ISP (internet company) and troubleshoot, see if they can help.
If something is wrong with your computer, that may be the problem with slow loading on the internet as well.

Yes computers can have problems when its new. If its making strange noises it could be a number of different problems like a bad cooling or a bad hard drive. Either problem can also cause the slow performance and freezing as well. The good news is that if the computer is new it should be under warranty. The next step is to contact the manufacture or consult the documentation that came with the system for the warranty procedure.

Yes. When you buy It on sale. Return it and ask them you want another one and explain to the seller the problem you have with the one you are returning. Good Luck.

If it runs a Microsoft Operating System, it will ALWAYS have problems! LOL!
