I have X's on all my web pages where ads are supposed to be. I have found some really cool stuff with those ads. How do I get my ads back and get rid of the X's. I have no idea why this happened to begin with. Thank you

This happens especially when I go to Yahoo ... many many files begin to upload ... they upload quickly, but they are always unwanted ads, and it usually takes approximately 3-5 minutes for them to finish loading (usually, there are at least 35 different loads) before I can use Yahoo or IE at all. Also, there doesn't seem to be anywhere to exit the advertisement (no "X" on top right of ad, no "close window" box to click), so the only way to exit is to click the "go back" arrow on top left of IE screen, which begins the downloads all over again! This is driving me nuts, and I want to end it NOW! Please give me some ideas. Thank you.

Bought a brand new hp pavillion computer with 2GB memory, 320GB hard drive, Vista Premium, etc. I can't figure out why it's running so slow. The internet is horrible; but i have high speed cable and i am 99% it's not the connection. Typing is delayed all the time, it's ridiculously slow. Kaspersky Anti-virus was installed within the first couple hours of this computer's working life.
The only other programs that have been installed are itunes and aim 6.0. Plus all music, pictures, etc are on a detachable hard drive.

The package has my name and my full address, but when I opened it, I found a new camera and a receipt for the purchase. Clearly I didn't make the purchase, but the address is mine, and the purchased is billed to someone's name that I don't even know? What should I do? Call the police and give it to them or keep the package?

Someone posted a semi pornagraphic profile of me. I have sent myspace a email 2x to get them to take it down and no response, also i know who did it I no longer speak to this person, and this is the second offense that he has harrassed me via communications... my questions are , how long should it take for myspace to take this down, does anyone have a phone number for them?, is there a way to get the email its registered to?, and how many times do i have to be harrassed via email and so on before i can press charges?? The police in my area said i couldn't after one offense.
ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

i need some basic stuff, that go onto intermediate and expert. i new in using computers sort of. but i want to know a little more about maintenance and knowing how to block some sites, how to remove virus, how do i know i have one, how do i check what files do i need and dont need,and lock my computer so my baby cousins wont go on cartoon network and wreck my keyboard.

I'd like to search for all files (not just office) for Title/Subject/Author/Category/Keywords or Comments which are all available on the Summary tab in Properties. The Windows XP built in search doesn't offer this (does it?). Is there a good 3rd party app to do this if XP can't do it natively? I know I can do an advanced "File Search" in the office apps, but only office files are searched. I want to check PDFs, JPGs, TXTs etc.

I know that somehow some way I can take the word documents i have an tranform them into a book. If anyone knows how please help. A book meaning there's going to be 2 pages on one peice of paper and when there all printed i can just staple or binder clip them together. Even if you knw how to make a card and not a book that would be great too because then I could just add more and print on both sides.
