Did you enter a Lotto draw called Inter Lotto?
No?
There you go.
You cannot win ANYTHING from a company unless you have either bought an entry ticket or physically supplied them with your details.
EVERY company saying 'you have won' is a con.
Even the Readers Digest Draws (the largest in the world!) cannot allow people to enter and win without first giving their details.
Delete ALL these emails as soon as you get them - and delete them from your deleted folder as well!!

wake up and smell the coffee.
You didn't enter, you didn't buy a ticket...therefore you didn't win.
of course its a scam...are you daft? Oh yes, you're American.
Its an advance fee fraud.
If you reply and claim your "winnings", they'll email back and say you must pay certain "taxes", "administration fees" etc, before they can release your cheque.
They'll want you to send money to them by some dodgy money transfer "western union" or "moneygram".
If you're stupid enough to send it, they'll think of another reason why you need to send more.
Of course you'll never receive your winnings because like the fake lottery, they don't exist.

It's a scam of sorts. It's just spam. Apparently they claim to sell lotto tickets online for various countries. Basically you put in your credit card, they charge it for $5 and sell you a "lotto ticket", and then when you "don't win" (because no one really wins) they pocket your $5.

its a scam they get to ring them and it costs you like £1 an hour, we quite often have scams here in uk to say you won a prize, and yes its cost you double on the price of the phone call to claim your prize, and if you didnt play lotto how can you have won it, tut, web gets worse, but we get wiser, and thanks to sites like this we get some good info and a lot of help.
oh and whilst talking about scams, I have had 2 emails from the so called pay pal site, and both are what pp calles spoofs, ie frauds, i was lucky i didnt click on then where it sugested i did to dispute it grrrrr, we live nad learn eh.
