i just downloaded next weeks prison break. i have a codec error and subsequently can only hear the soundtrack, its a video file only playing audio!! help!!

dear just search the web with google with keyword "free download Codec" n u will get lots of codec...
there is another option also go to site www.lonelycatgames.com n download the codec given there having size of 8 mb approx. install that codec n ur problem will be solved...
or u can also update ur media player codec directly frm the home site of ur media player....ok

Download DiVx player from www.divx.com .
Your Windows Media Player doesn't have the codec to decode .avi extension and will try to play it without the video.

have you tried videolan player? it works with almost every file type and you don't have to install any codecs. i've been using it for 2 years, now, and i've never come across a file that it couldn't play.

Agree with Interlude, short name is VLC Player, I don't know why Windows Media Player gave you (and me) such error when it played fine in DivX's own player and VLC Player.
