How do I search Windows XP/2000 files by their summary meta-data?

I'd like to search for all files (not just office) for Title/Subject/Author/Category/Keywords or Comments which are all available on the Summary tab in Properties. The Windows XP built in search doesn't offer this (does it?). Is there a good 3rd party app to do this if XP can't do it natively? I know I can do an advanced "File Search" in the office apps, but only office files are searched. I want to check PDFs, JPGs, TXTs etc.

Those attributes are indexed by the Microsoft Indexing Server. If you have Windows XP Pro you can activate the indexing server in the system services.
