why cant I delete some of my contacts from my mac msn messenger contact list?

I am able to delete some of the contacts but then others as I select them do not give me the option to delete, I group them inteding to then delete the group but still it does not allow me to do so. Can anyone help? Tks

I'm new to MSN and not sure but if U minimize the conver. page there is a block under th MSN to the right , maybe that's it.
