everytime norton antivirus shows me the "threats found", I ask norton to fix it and it is fixed.
But everytime my computer scans for viruses which about once a month, the same tracking cookie comes up

What do you think is causing this to happen?
How can I get rid of it once and for all?

is this better performance?

installing the OS by itself on a seperate drive/partition and then installed apps,etc... on a sperate drive/partition ...will that speed up the system? if so why?

I just recently built a pc and had it running fine until I tried to install vista. It crashed and now I am trying to just install xp back on it. Every time I try to install any version of XP I make it all the way past the product key and time setup then it goes to the blue screen of death crash error. I have tried different hard drives, and cd drives. If anyone can help give me any tips that would help get XP running I would greatly appreciate it. Also my setup is listed below for reference. Thank you!

For some reason my son is unable to make payments on his pc.He can enter all the information required but when he clicks on the 'pay' button it returns him to a blank payment screen to complete again. I have paid things for him via my pc and all was ok , so its not the website (I don't think) any ideas ? Thanks

I recently got a DVD recorder, and tried last night to record a home movie from my Hi-8 Camcorder. Connections were correct, and I followed the manual step by step, the only thing I can think of is that I used 16x DVD-Rs as the format.....but I am pretty sure that this Recorder accepts 16x. Also i did turn the TV off while recording, but that shouldnt matter...should it? It recorded the whole 2hrs, I added a title, and finalized the disk, but when I went to play it back all I got was a black screen....HELP

Well Ive read from several soures that directX 10 is only capable with the new card (Nvidia 8800 or G80..what ever its called). But my Uncle is running the new vista that was supplied to him from his employer, and he is running DirectX10 on what i belive is a 6600 or 6800. Whats up with that? Please not stupid answers.

When I try to paste, even just a line of text, it stalls, showing the wait icon but even 15 minutes doesn't get the info copied. Is there something better than copy and paste? Did my new upgrades mess it up? It used to copy just fine.

In the movies, whenever somebody is keying in data, you hear a tinny beep for every key depressed. Or if data is being displayed on the screen, the computer makes a blllluuurp blllluuurp sound or a be-be-be-be-be-be-beep sound.

But my laptop doesn't do that. So what is the point?

ok, if i don't use my computer for a while it goes to my screen saver, I come back and the screen saver goes away but when I try to click on any icons on my desktop it won't open the icon and it makes a sound everytime I click on something. The wierd thing is I can push the windows key on my keyboard and then I can click on internet explore (for example) but once I go back to my desktop, the same thing happens were I cant click on anything. This goes for my task bar as well. Please help, I have to restart everytime.
