can anybody tell me how long it takes to download film files. just a rough idea thanks

For a high quality movie from a good source, it will still take HOURS to download. Probably 4 or 5 atleast, more if it's from a bit torrent as you don't get very good download speeds.

There are many download accelerators available, but I really would not rely on any of them. All they do is try to trick the ftp server, and get multiple channels open and download through them; it's a risk if the server finds out you're trying'a do something you mustn't. However, usually when a download stops halfway, it _should_ be restarted right from the beginning; there's bound to be some sort of packet lost when the download accidentally stopped. I think firefox's inbuilt downloader does allow you to restart unsuccesful downloads, but still, it is not the recommended way to go. Good luck.

It depends on ur download speed and size of movie file
if ur download speed is around 20 kbps and movie size is 600 mb than it will take around 45 mins normally

Depends on the size of the file and what your download speed is. On a 1mg connection a 350mb file takes around 45min. AVI files you download tend to be in multiples of 350mb (half the content of a standard CD)

Simple equation
Total Size of the movie divided by the speed of download.
e.g. 3 GB Movie Size / 1 Gb per second download speed.
( make sure your the size is in the same denomination i.e. kb to kb or gb to gb)

It all depends on the type of connection you are on.
Dialup: Not even worth the trouble
ADSL: Any were from 3 hours or longer depending on the size
Cable: Any were from 2 hour or longer depending on the size
Satellite: Same as above (Cable)
Wireless: Same as above (Cable)

Depend on internet speed , normaly about 4,5 hours or mayb few day depends on quility this is using utorrent with bandwitch on high.

1whole movie?? it defends on your connection and your pc speed.. like for example, a 30min anime can range from 10-20mins..
