I use Webroot's Window Washer (current version) to delete files in the Temporary Internet Folder. For some reason, IE6 generates a lot of 0kb files and puts them into the sub-folders, and Window Washer can't "bleach" them (overwrite with 0's and 1's). I've tried everything Webroot recommended to no avail. However, I can manually delete them, and then bleach them in the recycle bin, which is a nuisance. What are these files and why does IE6 generate them?

My mouse is frozen in the middle of my screen. I can still get the internet (I use my tab buttons if I need to), but nothing I'm doing is fixing my mouse. It's a brand new mouse and I have used it for about a week. I even tried switching mouses, but it's still frozen. I turned off my computer last night, but does anyone have any suggestions? Technical support sucks because they want to charge me to help me fix the problem..........

Whilst he waits he was hoping to put the old orange dial up connection on. He has not loaded any old disks etc in to the computer and the phone lines are fine. When he trys to use the orange connection it just keeps putting up a screen saying no dialtone although he has tested sockets and cables. The old computer did the same so has anyone got any idea why this wont work?

Since downloading Service Pack 2 onto my computer the welcome screen keeps appearing when I turn it on. Whereas in the past it has immediantly loaded the desktop of the administrator. Why should this welcome screen appear when I only have 1 account (administrator), which does not have a password?
Can somebody please help! It is extremely annoying!

I've a load of pictures (JPEGS) on a hard drive that was taken from a laptop running windows XP professional SP1. When I try to view them on my New Laptop running Windows XP Home edition SP2 they don't preview. If I try to copy them from the hard drive to my laptop I get an Access Denied error. Everything else including video files MP4's works fine.

tes...during boot up after the "press del to enter setup"...i get this messsage NTLDR missing...and the comp just stops after that..

When I go to Control Panel -Users Accounts it shows myself and the administrator. If I click on administrator, the checkbox for Reset password becomes available. But if I click on my user, the Reset is no longer available. What can I do to change my login password?

I delete some files from my hard drive into the recycle bin. Later I cleared out the recylce bin because my computer was acting up. I thought that maybe there was a file that had a hidden virus. Where do the files go after you remove them from the recylce bin.

Now I realized that I need one of the files that was deleted.

I have downloaded some of my favourite tracks & want to burn them to a disc. However, some of the songs have less volume than others. Is there any way I can fix it so they all play at the same volume? I'm burning off Windows Media Player, have also got Realplayer or Roxio.
