My mouse is frozen in the middle of my screen. I can still get the internet (I use my tab buttons if I need to), but nothing I'm doing is fixing my mouse. It's a brand new mouse and I have used it for about a week. I even tried switching mouses, but it's still frozen. I turned off my computer last night, but does anyone have any suggestions? Technical support sucks because they want to charge me to help me fix the problem..........

Good day. Reboot safe mode? Reboot computer and before u see the xp logo and the blue blocks across the screen, click F8 and then safe mode. Log on and if the mouse is working, try the system restore feature or reinstall the mouse under safe mode. Laterz.

Unplug it and then restart the computer. If that doesn't work, maybe the mouse is bad, take it back to the store. Try plugging in your old mouse, see if that still works. If it does, maybe the new mouse isn't compatible, or is just broken.

I would first reboot, sometimes windows is funny about plugging and unplugging stuff while it running. If it's a USB mouse that's shouldn't me the problem, but a reboot might just fix it that easy for you.

what type of interface does it use? is it usb or ps/2 (colored slot) if its ps/2 then maybe the slot on your computer is broken or theres something stuck in the port itself.there must be something wrong with your computer if you tried another mouse in there and it still wont work.could be a motherboard issue too.

Take it back, get a refund and buy something with a tech support that won't charge you to fix their defective product. X

load your computer into safe mode and see if you still have the problem.

you need to ensure that ONLY your new mouse software is installed....
