This happens with any torrent client I use. I'm using it on Windows Vista RC1 but I've heard of this problem elsewhere.

I have a 3MBit(up)/512Kbit(Down) connection. Let's say my torrent is downloading at 64KBytes/sec (512 Kbits). Why is it that all computers on the network (including my own), their internet slows to a very slow crawl. And I look and I'm using upwards of 1.5MBits to 2 Mbits. Where is all this extra bandwidth coming from?

It stops as soon as I stop the torrent(s).

IE7 has slowed my my page loading to take a nap speed; about 8 to 10 seconds to change a page. everytime I make a change to the built in security system it takes up page space and constantly fights the user. So far I am very dissatisfied with IE7.

my internet seems to take ages to load a page, any way i can speed it up, ive defragmented the drive, run ccleaner and system wiper, been all through performance and maintenance, and run my antivirus and adware removal, but its still slow.

I'm at school trying to download a computer game off of the internet but we have to sign in with a custom user name. These have restrictions on them. Everytime I try downloading it the computer says ask an administrator, which of course I cant or I get in trouble lol. I tried proxies but they only work for internet browsing. Is there any way I can download it with these restrictions?

My parents are having problems with their computer and I'm trying to help them, but I am 1,000 miles away. They've got some funky things happening during start up. When they go to Start and Run and then type msconfig and press enter, they get a response that says it is currently being used by another program. Is there any way to get past this?

I have used I.E. for 9 years and had no problems with viewing the webpages. I downloaded Firefox to try it out and it didn't exactly make any difference didn't see anything that would make my internet experience any more.
Maybe this is just an anti-microsoft agenda rather than anything material.

i am trying to burn a cd to blank disk and it is not working. it was working just last week and now i try it and it wont work. i have cleaned my drive and still nothing. it burns the cd then when i put in a blank disk it only burns 1 song then closes the disk and say error....cannot burn the files to cd. verify that the disc is clean and not damaged. if nesscary select slower speed of brand of cd....im using high quality disks..i have always been using the same one. i have tried using nero, NTI and windows media player, but wont work...any suggestion? the strange thing is my dvd burner still works? please help im very desperate!

my problem is that when i go to command prompt and type ping command it is says that
'ping' it is not internel or external command
operable program or batch file
But when i type path=c:\windows\system32
then it go ping and working OK
BUT BUT BUT BUT when i close that window and again go to command prompt it again say previous problem
