Hello,
I've had the same kind of experience and I found that the problem was one of the following:-
No.1 The file was corrupted or damaged in some way, I couldnt tell you how though. one possibility is that it got corrupted in the process of being downloaded.
No.2 The way the file was created in the first place wasnt correct, usually because it was put together by an inexperienced publisher. So the image framing rate doesnt match up with the audio rates i.e. doesnt sync and so unwatchable.
No.3 The software you are using to play back the file doesnt have the correct settings, or just doesnt support that file format.
No.4 You dont have the correct software "codec" for that video type installed on your machine. Most codec's can be found on the web & downloaded if its only a missing codec. A quick Yahoo or google search should give you the codec, but you do have to know exactly which codec though.
**If in doubt you could try downlaoding the file once again (in case of damaged in transit) if its not too large. Or you could try to download the same movie but from a different location (if possible)?

Dont bother with limewire.
Go to www.bitcomet.com and download the bit comet client on the left hand side. This will give you a programme a bit like Mozilla/Internet explorer, from this programme you can search different sites for torrents (files to download). These sites have everything u could possibly want and its completely free and gives you faster downloads with no viruses.
Bit comet also has a guide on how to use torrents but it is really easy once you know how. I have tried kazaa, limewhire, morpheus etc and none of them come close 2 torrents.
If ur struggling email me at donjuan6212@yahoo.co.uk and i will try and help u through.

A video should never really find it's way onto Limewire as they are usually malicous... please scan for viruses..
And to answer your problem you may need to update your media player... ie.
Upgrade media player to version 11
Or Real player... to the lastest version
etc...
