i am trying to burn a cd to blank disk and it is not working. it was working just last week and now i try it and it wont work. i have cleaned my drive and still nothing. it burns the cd then when i put in a blank disk it only burns 1 song then closes the disk and say error....cannot burn the files to cd. verify that the disc is clean and not damaged. if nesscary select slower speed of brand of cd....im using high quality disks..i have always been using the same one. i have tried using nero, NTI and windows media player, but wont work...any suggestion? the strange thing is my dvd burner still works? please help im very desperate!

ive only had my computer since april, but i have done alot of burning...over 150 cds,
i have tried lower speeds aswell

If your burner is too old then cleaning might not be enough.

May be ur disk is damage. If its not then when you're about to click on burn you should see a drop down which asks you at which speed you want to burn the disk. Select something less than 40.

I had trouble with a pioneer burner .All the microsoft tests said it was ok it just did not play or write so I bought a new one and it works ok . They are much much cheaper than 3 years ago

try making it as a data disk in nero..easier and better
