IE 7 is not taking the power--it is something else. The problem is the user.

I know what you mean, it sucks big time... I ended up doing a system recovery because the pop-up blocker stopped working properly and i ended up with a nasty virus. I'm not a computer whiz... so all I can say is do what I did LOL. I got the old IE back and needless to say I will never upgrade it again!
Good luck!
(add/remove programs may work for you as well)

I use Google Chrome. It is extremely fast and easy to use. The only thing I didn't like about it when I first switched from Internet Explorer is the different layout. If you want speed, security, and a look similar to Internet Explorer then Mozilla Firefox is the way to go.

To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 to return to Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP
-Click "Start," and then click "Control Panel."
-Click "Add or Remove Programs."
-Check "Show Updates" at the top of the dialog box.
-Scroll down the list and highlight the version of Internet Explorer 7 that you are running, and then click "Change/Remove." (If you are running Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview — March 20 or later, it is not necessary to check "Show Updates.")
Hope this helps
=)
