everytime i go online my contact on msn messenger can start a conversation window with me >> but i am not even signed into msn i remember b4 it would happen with my hubbys contacts but now it is happening with me any way i can get this to stop as i get my contacts wantting to chat even when ive only gone online to do something else

I'm replacing all my vinyl collection by building up an i-tunes library. Some of the the rarer tracks are not available from the i-tunes store though, so a friend suggested Limewire file sharing. I've installed Limewire 4.12.6, I've located some tracks and downloaded them successfully. I can play them in Limewire, but I can't transfer them accross to my i-tunes library to join the rest of my collection. Limewires help FAQ's says to select the file in the Limewire library that I want to transfer by clicking it. After releasing the mouse button, click and drag the file into i-tunes. I've tried this but the files will not click and drag. Can anyone help??

I am trying to get my computer to work. It will partially sign up to the windows screen then, stops and the computer will not process anymore. This started a couple of days. At first, it would do nothing. We have open the unit and dusted out since we realized it was covered. Once we did this, it worked a little more. We have recovery disc to try to help, but it will erase all that we have saved on it. We want to try to get it to work and/or recover our data.

I've set both administrator and user password for BIOS and enabled protection but y PC doesn't ask for password during startup. It even doesn't ask for windows login password.

I've heard it's more energy effiicent to put pc into hibernate mode when you leave the computer rather than it booting up every time you turn on, what's best.

i remember back in the 90s when you could surf the net all day and not come up with any virus or spyware or trojans or whatever new malware some nerd has come up with now. i miss those days.....now i have to scan my comp everytime i go on it, i cant surf the net without being paranoid, and i have to put in long complicated passwords. do MAC computers have better software that will make surfing the net safer? if this continues, then soon the goverment will step in and set laws on what we can and cannot download....

Because software was downloaded i don't have any indication of broadband speeds. The arrows that were on taskbar have gone as im using ethernet cables to the hub. How do i find speeds or is it a great secret.

I think something might be configured wrong but i have no clue as to what. No viruses or spyware were detected...
My pages are loading too slow, if at all
my connection is dial up(connects between 48.0 and 50.2) and it says 470,729 bytes sent, and 3,248,771 bytes received ( I think this is where the problem lies but i don't know what is causing it or how to correct it)
