I have a 80gb hard drive and it's at 70gb full. I have hardly anything on it other than music which is 8gb. The rest are just the odd game and program files. I have opened up the hidden files and still can't see whats filling it. Can anyone help on how i can reduce whatever is clogging up the hard drive?

If I'm online and leave it alone for 8-10 minutes, I have to unplug the modem, then plug it back in. And when I log onto my Yahoo home page, I always have to sign in again. I have an HP Media Center, and have no idea why this is happening. Thoughts?

I am used to finding the @ on top of the 2 on the keyboard but my mother just got a new computer and she hasn't been able to figure out the @. I am in the US and she is in Peru, I don't know if that matters, maybe keyboards in South America are different? So, if anybody knows how to make a @ happen besides the usual way (clicking on 2 on capitals) please let me know so I can email her and let her know.
Thanks a lot!!!
PS: Sorry this question sounds dumb, but it is true.

Lets say i have a Windows XP, 512RAM, 100GB computer and when i have like a bunch of things going all at once, like Winamp, Surfing the Internet, Downloading Online, Yahoo Widgets, etc..., if this goes on for a while, sooner or later, my computer will restart itself. I cut off that further, and my screen just goes blue with some words saying that an error has occurred, at which i have to shutdown my computer and then cut it back on. This problem even sometimes occurs when i use Limewire to download many files, large or small, and i do this over night.

Do i need to increase the RAM to get this to work, or will the same thing occur even if i do that. Is there a way to get my computer to multitask. I already tried Deleting History, Temporary Files, Cookies and Defragmenting and Disk Cleanup and the same still ends up occurring. I doubt its a virus or anything like that. I just think its because to many things going at once.

In one place it shows 5.1 and in the other it shows 6.0. I'm trying to upgrade to IE 7 but when I do it keeps telling me that my computer wont support it. I've checked and I have all the necessary space etc. My computer is only 2 years old and is running on XP.

When you go to start-run-and type winver - it says I'm on 5.1. When you go to help-about IE explorer-it says 6.0??

I'd really like to upgrade my system - I need to for work asap.

Thanks for your help!

Just noticed a file in my C drive called "bfd6ee28c62392d12fcf924e7d6056cd" and inside is a text document called "msxml4-KB927978-enu" and below is a brief explanation of what it is filled with. I'm not sure what it is but it doesn't look good, I don't want to just delete it - anyone seen this before so I know what to do?

I deleted a Microsoft word document about 6 months ago when cleaning out my computer. But I really need it now, and I know that even if a file i deleted it is still on the harddrive in a compressed form. Does anyone know how to retreive files that have been deleted after many disk cleanups and file compressions have been done. I know i could just system restore back to a date a while ago, but that is not the way i want to go. Can anyone out there help me. I know the name of the file but I have no clue how to retreive or access it. How do I get to it.
