You can sell (or donate) an old PC but don't be surprised at how little it is now worth. You should remove your old hard drive and install a brand new one so that your personal information is not being passed along with the machine.

Many big PC buyers have an arrangement in the purchase contract where the vendor takes the old machines off their hands as part of the sale so they don't have to deal with the issues of what to do with them.

nicely fist ingredient is first. xp is almost the proper operating gadget that Microsoft has made. ninety 5 and 2000 were the most computer virus loose and vista is the 2d worst next to ME. homestead windows 7 supplies you to be extra powerful than vista in spite of the indisputable fact that that's made on a similar platform so i do not have self belief them. final analysis you may improve to vista or perhaps to 7(once you've the right specs) yet i does not advise it. XP is an particularly sturdy OS. the absolutely issue I have had with that's a touch boot up issue some situations and some unresponosive classes. my vista computing gadget (my HP G60) is a tremendous notebook in spite of the indisputable fact that the OS is undesirable. Vsta has such various of complications that i in simple terms hate it! nonresponse classes are a accepted occurrence and each and every time i close homestead windows explorer this is going to develop into unresponsive so i in simple terms were given Google chrome as my internet browser(very sturdy internet browser) (are not getting internet explorer 8). back, you will get vista or perhaps the beta of homestead windows 7(once you've the specs) yet i ought to easily not advise it. Tip: the meant proper notebook OS is Linux or Solaris(or Google chrome OS at the same time as it comes out) or perhaps Mac OS X(yet i do not imagine you will get that for notebook)

I don't know where to send it, but there are places that take them and give them to people in they're homes. They can always be used for email to help senior citizens and the disabled keep contact with they're families.

They help people learn job skills. Try contacting the A.A.R.P., or government places that help the disabled.

I think you could also sell it to a computer shop, is one possibility. They rebuild them well, and sell them really cheap, which could sure help people, too.

Maybe the unemployment office knows someone who could use one. Or even a neighbor, or the churches.

Donate to an elementary school. Most kids programs will still work on a computer of that vintage.

Sell it on Ebay, turning it into cash.
Or give it to the one who needs . He will appreciate you.

please donate it! there are plenty of places (like poor schools and libraries) that really need them but don't have enough money!
