I use interactual player, and it worked in the past... you can see the previews and what not but when it gets to the title screen of the DVD, the screen goes black and you can still hear the sound.... why is it doing this? do i have a virus? Cuz like i said it worked before!

Did the same file worked before? if not, then it probably the file format support issue. it might need extra codec pack(check k-lite mega codec pack for free).
it might be easy to try something else other than trying debug.
I recommend use vlc player(http://www.videolan.org/) and it is best in terms of many file format support. Se it works or not. if you can't play it in vlc, the file have some problem.

either ur graphics cant handle it or the driver is buggered ... or u need a real software player like powerdvd or windvd ...
