Right click my computer and select properties. Select the advanced tab. In the performance section of that tab click the settings button. In the visual effects tab of that window check the box that says "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop" click apply and ok. Hope that helps.

Right click on desktop

on "Arrange icons by" tab, another menu will appear.

Uncheck the "Lock Web Items On The Desktop" tab.

The blue background will disappear :)

The blue background is a feature of the theme of the computer. You would need to change the theme. You'll fine lots for free on google.

right click then go on properties then go on appearance tab the go on advanced and select desktop then you can chose a different color.

goto control panel then display then goto apperance and change the text background colour to one resembiling your background in there
