(how do i get my itunes back)
story-my moms boy friend was trying to back up my itunes and pictures. but insted of putting my itunes on to there he put just the short cut on there and i want to get back my files.

reinstall them.This is the only way if you delete them from RecyleBin

Well if he was dumb enough to just 'paste shortcut' instead of 'paste', he may have also been dumb enough to not empty the trash. Look there first.
Otherwise, you will have to run a utility to undelete. Look for free/shareware on http://www.download.com and make sure you read the reviews and user comments. No guarantees that the file has been written over though.

yikes...thats scarey. You can look in your recycle bin. Or in the control panel there is a way to erase anything you have done for the day. I think it is like reset computer or something!!!

Well, you could go into your trashcan and click on the file(s) that you deleted,then drag it onto your desktop.

go to accessories, system tools & under it got to system restore u can restore ur computer to the time b4 he even touched it
