I have seen 3 computers at my office, as well as my personal computer at home, that have a failed -5V lead on the power supply. I've been looking for information on the internet, but haven't found anything yet. Has anyone heard of any software or hardware issues that could be causing this failure?

I am looking to buy a reasonable priced input device, but I want one of those pens that the design people use to write directly on the screen. I saw a pen from Wacom, the Intuos3 Grip Pen, but I'm not sure that I'm right in the workings of product, i.e. writing directly on the screen.

Any suggestions or advice is appreciated.

I just got a used CDRW and it didn't come with any cables or software. It's in my computer and working, but when I put in a blank CD and try to burn a CD, it says insert a blank CD. It can read a regular CD perfectly though. Does it need a driver or did I do something wrong?

I was trying to format the hard drive and reinstall Windows XP. My Dell would not read the CD ROM so I replaced it with a new one. I used my current Windows XP to install it and it is working fine. The problem is that when I try to boot from the CD, the computer bypasses it and goes straight to the old Windows. I entered "setup" by using the DEL key when I booted, and I checked to see if the CD ROM was #1 on the list--and it is. So why won't my computer boot from the CD ROM? It always used to work before the old CD ROM was broken. But for some reason it won't boot from the hard drive with the new one, even though Windows XP "found" it and says it is peroperly installed. When I go into the BIOS (aka "setup") after pressing the delete key at start-up, it says "ATAPI CD ROM." This is always waht it used to say, so I don't know what I should do...please help.

I got this cool USB drive in a package of CD's purchased from Staples. When I plug it in, it's asking for drivers, usually, well at least they are supposed to be on the USB drive itself but for some reason they aren't.. anyone know who makes it, or know where I can find the driver?

I have a powered USB Hub attached to my primary computer at home. After my computer wakes up from Stand By Mode (under Windows XP) the hub does not respond. My current solution is to crawl under my desk unplug it from the computer and replug it in. Then Windows XP identifies all the equipment attached to it. Help! Thanks.

It is only running at 104MHz ! I've gone into CMOS setup & got the Core speed running at 1300MHz. Rated FSB is 208 MHz but Bus speed only 104 MHz !. OK, I know the board is a bit of a dinosaur ! but i like it. The BIOS gives lots of options 'SOFT' utilities ect. The Mother board is a VIA (KT133A), Model 8363-686A. What should i be looking to change in the CMOS setup ? Thanks to anyone giving this article their attention.

My new pc configuration is,
core 2 duo E4500, 2.2GHz processor
1GB DDR2 SDRAM,
DG31PR motherboard
DVD RW
250 GB SATA Hard Disk.
Actually, my motherboard supports 24 pin power supply for the motherboard. but my power supply is having only 20 pins. and i connected this 20 pin power input to the motherboard. i bought the new costly ATX cabinet ( A Open ). i wanna know this power supply is enough for my pc or i need much more strong power supply. One of my friend told that this power supply is enough for my pc & this 20 pin supply has the capable of giving as much as power of 24pin. please suggest me.
i planned to install Win XP & Vista . i use my pc for few multimedia ( photoshop, video editing) and some gamings ( nfs carbon, cricket , hitman etc).
